Emir receives message from Iraqi PM

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a written message from Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, pertaining to relations between Qatar and Iraq and means of developing them, in addition to issues of common concern. The message was handed over by Dr Khaled Mutaib al-Obeidi, Iraqi Defence Minister and personal envoy of Iraqi prime minister, when the Emir received him along with his accompanying delegation at Al Bahr Palace yesterday. The meeting discussed the issue of Qataris kidnapped in Iraq. The Emir expressed his hope that the Iraqi authorities would intensify their efforts for their release and safe return to their homeland as soon as possible. The Iraqi Defence Minister assured the Emir that his government is doing everything in its power to secure the release of abducted Qataris and return them to their country.
