ABP signs pact with City London University

The Academic Bridge Programme (ABP), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), and City University London (CUL) have signed a partnership, giving ABP graduates the opportunity to continue their studies in London.The agreement enables ABP students, who achieve a set level of attainment, to study in London. The first eligible ABP graduates could enrol at CUL as early as September 2016 and annually thereafter. The five schools of CUL - Cass Business School, School of Arts & Social Sciences, School of Health Sciences, School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering, and The City Law School - have over 18,000 currently enrolled students, representing 150 countries.Prof Stanton Newman, pro vice chancellor (International), CUL, said: “We look forward to welcoming ABP graduates to our degree courses here in London. Their presence at our university globalises the academic environment and campus life for all our students.” The ABP has agreements with over 20 international universities to facilitate the admission of ABP graduates to university. Approximately 40% of those graduates attend universities overseas, a majority of which are in the UK.Dr Bryan K Lewallen, director of ABP, said: “Our new partnership with City University London is a wonderful, new opportunity for students who graduate from the Academic Bridge Programme. CUL is a world class university with an excellent reputation.” “ABP graduates, who meet the university’s requirements, will be able to enter directly into Year One of their degree programmes.
