It follows an announcement of a new vision statement and organisational structure last month by the university.The organisational transformation process will focus exclusively on administrative functions and will be completed in June.Dr Hassan Rashid al-Derham, president of Qatar University, said: “As Qatar’s national university, we have a responsibility to become more efficient while sharpening our focus on education, research and student services. These are key elements of our new vision and will be the drivers of Qatar University’s success in the future.”“The organisational transformation will result in bespoke development plans for administrative employees, quicker decision-making and higher quality service across the university.”Qatar University’s new vision was endorsed by its Board of Regents, and a period of strategic and organisational transformation was announced in March.
