Ministry marks World Autism Awareness Day

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce marked the World Autism Awareness day by illuminating the ministry’s building with blue light in solidarity with the international campaign carried out by ‘Autism Speaks Organisation’. Dedicating April 2 each year for Autism awareness was based on a proposal by the State of Qatar which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution issued on December 18, 2007. World Autism Awareness Day aims to increase awareness especially about children with autism.
