Customs signs pact with QC

The General Authority of Customs (GAC) signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding with Qatar Chamber (QC). GAC will approve the electronic certificate of origin issued by QC regarding imported goods and items. Previously, the paper-based certificate was the only approved and accepted document by the various posts of GAC. The MoU was signed by GAC president Ahmed bin Ali al-Muhannadi, and QC chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani at QC headquarters, in the presence of QC general manager Saleh Hamad al-Sharqi.
