US President Barack Obama will meet with leaders of several Gulf nations in Saudi Arabia next month, the White House said yesterday. On April 21, Obama will participate in a summit with leaders from the Gulf Co-operation Council nations, which include Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, it said in a statement. Before coming to Saudi Arabia, Obama will travel to the United Kingdom, a visit set to be dominated by doubts over Britain’s EU membership and concerns about turmoil in the Middle East. His visit to London comes ahead of Britain’s hotly contested June referendum on European Union membership. Obama is likely to express his strong backing for keeping Britain in the EU, but will have to rebuff allegations of interference. He is also scheduled  to visit  Germany where he will meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
