Kane shines as Hawks extend winning streak

Patrick Kane scored three goals and the Chicago Blackhawks extended their season-best winning streak to 10 games by defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 on Friday. Kane scored two goals in the second period and added an empty-netter and an assist in the third. Namestnikov, who entered the game with six goals all season, scored the winner after the Lightning saw a 3-1 lead turn into a 4-3 deficit with six minutes left in the game. Jets 1, Wild 0 It was another happy homecoming for Blake Wheeler and the Winnipeg Jets. Wheeler, a Twin Cities native, scored early to set the tone in the Jets’ 1-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Friday night.
