The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced a recall of 2002-07 Lexus SC 430 models over a potential defect in the passenger-side airbag inflator kit.The recall is being carried out in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co.The campaign falls within the framework of the MEC’s ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.The ministry has said it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out. It has urged people to report violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department.
