Cold snap to continue, strong winds likely in early hours

After a chilly Tuesday, low temperatures are once again expected in different parts of the country today, the Qatar Met department has said.Strong winds are also likely in the early hours of the day as well as in offshore areas, according to the forecast.The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be 11C and 19C, respectively today, with the forecast for Doha being 14C and 21C. Abu Samra, Messaied and Al Wakrah will be the coolest at 11C, the weather report states.The wind speed is expected to range from 8-18kt in inshore areas, reaching 22kt in some places at first. In offshore areas, the wind speed will be 18-28kt, which may fall to 12-20kt later.Inshore areas will see slight dust and partly cloudy conditions, along with a cold night. Offshore areas, on the other hand, are likely to experience high seas - with the sea level going up to 10ft – along with slight dust and some clouds, the report explains.
