YEMEN | BombingQatar condemns assassination Qatar has strongly condemned the assassination of Aden governor Major General Jaafar Saad and a number of his companions after a car bomb targeted his convoy in Al-Tawahi district, south Yemen, on Sunday. In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry described the incident as “a crime that violates all moral and humanitarian values and principles”, stressing that it would not undermine the will of the Yemeni people or discourage their determination to restore stability in their country. The ministry reiterated “Qatar’s full support to Yemen in all actions taken in order to maintain security and stability”.
