QNA/RiyadhHH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani joined other GCC leaders in the 13th consultative meeting held at Derayaa Palace here yesterday. The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, HE the Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah and members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir. Earlier on arrival in Riyadh, the Emir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia. Also on hand to welcome them were Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, governor of Riyadh province, Prince Saud al-Faisal , foreign minister, Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, deputy interior minister, Prince Migrin bin Abdulaziz, chief of public intelligence, and other princes and ministers along with GCC Secretary General Abdul Latif al-Zayani and the Qatari ambassador to Saudi Arabia HE Ali bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud . The Emir attended a luncheon banquet hosted by King Abdullah at the palace in honour of the GCC leaders participating in the consultative meeting. The banquet was attended by Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim.
The Emir also met Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Saeed. Talks during the meeting dealt with relations between the two countries and ways to bolster them. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim, al-Attiyah and members of the delegation accompanying the EmirThe Emir returned home yesterday evening.
