Expert in safe navigation technology to address Doha maritime conference
An expert speaker in the field of automatic identification system (AIS), a technology critical for safe navigation and pinpointing the location of maritime vessels, has been added to the panel of speakers at the upcoming Qatar Maritime Security - Coastal and Border Surveillance Conference (QMARSEC).“Simon Tucker’s groundbreaking work with AIS technology has been critical to the growth of the field,” said Staff Brigadier (Pilot) General Mohamed al-Mannai, director of the National Shield Project of Qatar. “I am pleased that he will be joining our panel of distinguished speakers at QMARSEC 2015.”Tucker is CEO of UK-based SRT Marine Technology Limited, a leading developer and provider of AIS transceiver technologies and products.
