QIIB opens its 20th branch in Qatar at Ezdan Mall

QIIB’s 20th branch in Qatar was inaugurated by the bank chairman and managing director Sheikh Dr Khaled bin Thani bin Abdulla al-Thani at the Ezdan Mall in Al Gharafa yesterday.The opening event was attended by QIIB CEO Abdulbasit Ahmed al-Shaibei and bank directors, among others.The state-of-the-art branch at the Ezdan Mall is the fourth one opened by QIIB since the beginning of this year.Sheikh Dr Khaled said the branch opening was done in accordance with the bank’s strategy, which focused on the local market and laid emphasis on “giving the best products and services” to QIIB’s growing customer base. “The bank’s customers expect high level of service from a prominent bank like the QIIB, which has been contributing to the growing Qatari economy for many years,” Sheikh Dr Khalid said.QIIB’s new branch is located on the ground floor of the Ezdan Mall at Al Gharafa, an iconic shopping destination in Qatar, which attracts thousands of shoppers on a daily basis. The mall is home to the outlets of reputable major local, regional and international brands, entertainment facilities, restaurants and cafeterias.Al- Shaibei said, “We are pleased today to open this branch in line with the bank’s desire to operate from the Ezdan Mall, one of the key shopping destinations for families in Qatar. We aim to serve a large segment of our clients, who visit Ezdan Mall and take advantage of QIIB’s modern branch that operates, seven days a week to a specific time schedule that goes well with the functioning of major malls.  “QIIB’s branch at the Ezdan Mall is the 20th in the bank’s nation-wide network. We are taking all the required steps to get closer to our clients, regardless of where they are located in the country. Our task is to reach out to all our customers with the distinguished products and services we always offer our customers.”He further stated: “Through this expansion, we have been able to effectively respond to competition in the market place. There is a great responsibility on us to meet the expectations of our customers – be it for new products or services.“We will not limit ourselves to quantity; providing quality products and services remains top on our priority based on the Shariah-based, value-driven banking, which we provide.”Al-Shaibei said while the new branch spots an elegant contemporary design, it is also equipped with equipment that modern technology offers in banking.The CEO explained that in addition to the bank’s geographical expansion, which was being realised through the inauguration of the newest branch at the Ezdan Mall, QIIB was also developing its alternative channels, which saved valuable time and efforts for the bank’s customers.“We continue to focus on offering online and mobile banking services and transactions and are keen to further develop our round-the-clock call centre to meet our clients’ needs and expectations. We continuously work on deploying more ATMs in key locations across the country, so that our customers can easily access our products and services.”The branch works on all days on the week and will be open, Saturday through Thursday, from 9am to 2-30pm and from 3-30pm to 9pm.And on Fridays, the branch will function from 4pm to 9pm.
