Ministry launches WhatsApp service

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has launched an account on WhatsApp to enhance communication with people and keep them informed on latest updates and events. Those interested in using the new service can do so by sending the word “Subscribe” to 66111400 and add the number to the contact list on their phones. The service will be activated immediately. The MEC WhatsApp account focuses on informing the public about the latest news pertaining to the ministry as well as its initiatives, activities and projects.  Suggestions and queries will be received through the hotline (16001), e-mail (Info@mec.gov.qa) and the MEC Twitter and Instagram accounts (MEC_Qatar).
