MEC recalls 2003-2005 Suzuki Ignis models

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Teyseer Motors, the dealer of Suzuki vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of Suzuki Ignis 2003-2005 models due to defects in the ignition key. The recall comes within the framework of ongoing co-ordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain dealers’ commitment to following up on defects and repairing them in order to protect consumers’ rights, according to a statement.The MEC will co-ordinate with Teyseer Motors to follow up on the necessary maintenance and repair processes and communicate with clients to ensure the success of the recall campaign as well as the implementation of the procedures to fix defects, the statement adds.Consumers have been urged to report irregularities by communicating with the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat, which receives complaints, suggestions and queries through its hotline (16001), e-mail (info@mec.gov.qa), Twitter (@MEC_Qatar), Instagram (MEC_Qatar) and the MEC mobile app for Android and IOS (MEC_Qatar).
