The Chuckle Club’s three international comic stars stage their final performance at Crowne Plaza Doha. By Umer NangianaBruce Devlin burst onto the Scottish comedy scene when he stole the show at a stand-up comedy course graduation showcase in October 2000. He was then described as ‘a natural performer’ and in total control of the audience. The Scottish comic is teaming up with his pals from The Chuckle Club, Tom Toal and Kyle Grooms, to once again entertain the Doha audience. Performing at two different venues, The Chuckle Club will stage their last show at Crowne Plaza Doha today at 8pm after performing the night before at Grand Hyatt. The Chuckle Club is known for bringing the best international comedians to the Middle East. Featuring three well established international comedians every month, The Chuckle Club promises to deliver great comedy every single time.Since his first appearance on the international comedy scene, Devlin has graced many stages with his magnetic presence. From early 2001 he was regularly performing to a fast-growing fan base in central Scotland and ever since has been consistently appearing to rapturous audiences. Devlin has notched up an impressive number of Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows including Three Fat Ladies: A Murder Mystery, Stand Up Scotland. “For a fiver you get five comics … Devlin is worth that on his own,” The Scotsman’s legendary comedy reviewer Kate Copstick wrote for him. “With a tongue so sharp he could peel a King Edward,” wrote Scotsman.Devlin is a seasoned presenter of live shows. In 2006, he presented his own daily chat show Devlin’s Daily interviewing the best of the fringe including Barry Cryer, Robin Ince and Karen Dunbar. In 2007, he was the compere for Channel 4’s Gags to Go live shows across Scotland.With a long list of notable accomplishments as an actor, writer and comic, Kyle Grooms has proven to be one of the industry’s must-see comics on the scene. Throughout his career, he has appeared in his own hysterical half-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central, while also making multiple appearances on VH1, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and famed sketch comedy show, Chappelle’s Show. Among his many accomplishments, his first comedy CD, The Legend of the Jersey Devil, was named one of iTunes’ Top 100 Comedy CDs of 2009. He has been featured on several television, radio and internet broadcasts, such as P- Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, The Byron Allen Show, BET Comic View, and Red Carpet Fashion.  With uniqueness all to himself, Grooms delivers an honest and intelligent view of the world, while giving an intimate look into his life experiences growing up in the American melting pot. Having even brought his act overseas, he performed at the Le Grande Journal in France and has made several appearances in national TV ad campaigns for companies including T-Mobile, Sears, Career Builders and Holiday Inn Express. Grooms continues to grow as a stand-up comedian, writer and actor, and can currently be seen performing worldwide.Tom Toal is a comedian, writer and actor, hailing from southeast London. One of comedy’s rising stars, he performed his debut show On The Scrapheap about the break-up of his six-year relationship at the Edinburgh and Leicester Festivals in 2010 achieving widespread acclaim and reviews. The follow up rom-coms and revolutions followed in a similar vein playing to a complete sell-out audience for the full run. In 2013, Toal performed at The Comedy Reserve with The Pleasance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and, in 2014, he became an Amused Moose Best Comedy Show finalist for his solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe Show, Tom Toal: Prequel.One of Toal’s major strengths is his ability to adapt to his audience.
