Al-Attiyah holds talks with Afghan president

President Ashraf Ghani meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah in Kabul on Friday.

Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Friday met with Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah in Kabul. During the meeting, al-Attiyah conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Afghan president and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Afghan people. For his part, the Afghan president entrusted al-Attiyah with his greetings to HH the Emir. Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and ways to expand them in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern. Al-Attiyah also met with Afghanistan Defence Minister Mohamed Masoom Stanekzai, Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah and Mohamed Hanif Atmarmet, national security adviser to the president. Al-Attiyah, during the visit, participated in the sixth forum for regional economic co-operation on Afghanistan, being held in Kabul. The forum is part of efforts to enhance co-operation between Central and South Asia regions in order to help Afghanistan economically. It aims to support stability in Afghanistan and improve economic co-operation between the regions of Central and South Asia.
