Qatar attends Arab focal points meeting

Qatar participated in the meeting of Arab focal points of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) which began in Cairo yesterday. Vice-President of Qatar’s Committee for Alliance of Civilizations Dr Hassan bin Ibrahim al-Mohannadi and adviser to the Foreign Ministry Abdullah Ahmad al-Sada represented Qatar in the meeting. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), al-Sada said that the meeting focused on plans and projects proposed by Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and other Arab League member states.Emir sends condolences to Indian presidentHH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani  have sent cables of condolences to President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, on the death of his wife Suvra Mukherjee.Serbian justice  minister meets Qatari envoySerbian Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic has met Qatar’s ambassador to Serbia Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad al-Thani in Belgrade. Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them.
