Visitors praise festivities at Katara

Some 250,000 people visited the Eid al-Fitr festivities at Katara, which concluded yesterday, according to a statement from the Cultural Village Foundation. The visitors, who belonged to different nationalities, cultures and walks of life, expressed joy and satisfaction at the activities and shows hosted by Katara. They blended entertainment and cultural values, they felt. The highlights of the Katara Eid festivities included the show, “The Land of Scholars and Achievements”, and the fireworks display. These proved to be highly successful and attracted large crowds during the holidays. Interactive exhibitions, which had been running since the holy month of Ramadan, also concluded yesterday. Gifts were distributed among children and visitors also had the opportunity to shop in the souq area along the beach.
