Award-winning Aegis band set for two-night concert

The Aegis band is set to perform at a two-night concert.Manila Times/ManilaMultiple award-winning all-Filipino band Aegis has announced the dates for a two-night concert at the Music Museum on July 23-24. Titled, ‘Aegis Back in the City,’ the rock concert will also feature Voice of the Philippines Season 2 finalists, Leah Patricio and Daryl Ong, along with the special participation of G-Force and comedienne-singer K Brosas.Since it started in 2000, Aegis has released seven albums that have consistently reached gold and platinum marks. Halik, Mahal na Mahal Kita, Awit at Pag-Ibig, Paskong-Pasko and Ating Balikan have touched hearts, not only in the Philippines but all over the world. The group’s hit songs, Luha and Halik are staples in videoke sessions as well as in singing competitions.Jay Durias of South Border will direct the concert, which will also include six-year-old pop singer Zoey Taberna, daughter of news anchor Anthony Taberna and events organiser Rossel Taberna.Aegis band’s lead singers Juliet, Mercy and Ken Sunot are excited ahead of this  benefit concert produced by Outbox Media Power house Corporation.
