Alfardan Group has hosted a charity Iftar at the Al Gassar Majlis Tent. The event organised in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) was held for the benefit of around 150 people, comprising 85 underprivileged children who are under the care of QRC and their respective families.  During the event, the children enjoyed a buffet of gourmet specialities from Middle Eastern and Qatari cuisines, Ramadan delicacies and Arabic and international desserts, along with wholesome entertainment.The special guests were entertained throughout the evening with fun-filled activities in accordance with the spirit of Ramadan.Omar Alfardan, president and CEO of Alfardan Group, said: “Alfardan Group takes pride and pleasure in hosting this event, ably reflecting our continuing commitment towards charitable and worthy causes that fall in line with the values we maintain and the CSR initiatives we regularly conduct and implement. “The Iftar dinner is but one of the many CSR activities that we have organised, sponsored, supported and initiated, which aimed at addressing several CSR pillars in charity through humanitarian causes, healthcare assistance, educational support, social and human development, along with other key programmes. “We appreciate the diligent efforts undertaken by Qatar Red Crescent to ensure a protected life for needy children and will continue to support their humanitarian mission through our CSR initiatives for community development.” QRC secretary-general Saleh bin Ali al-Mohannadi welcomed Alfardan Group’s initiative, hailing its constant support for Qatar Red Crescent, especially Omar Alfardan. He hoped that this strategic bilateral partnership would continue to support QRC’s humanitarian mission and programmes in the best interests of the Qatari and other world societies.This marks the second consecutive year that Alfardan Group has collaborated with QRC to organise a charity Iftar dinner, “reinforcing its commitment to build a healthy, happy and motivated society in line with the Human Development Pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030”, according to a statement.The group has developed various CSR initiatives designed to benefit customers, employees and the community at large. Alfardan Group is also a leading advocate of broader private sector CSR adoption and implementation.
