One-two For Qatar Racing in the Summer Mile Stakes

Qatar Racing’s Arod wins the Summer Mile Stakes (Gr2) yesterday, in Ascot (Great Britain), in front of another Qatar Racing’s representative, the previously unbeaten Lightning Spear. Sent to the head of affairs by Andrea Atzeni, the pair opened up a commanding advantage in the straight and never looked like being challenged.The 4-year-old won the Diomed Stakes (Gr3) for his last outing. He also finished third of the Lockinge Stakes. Last year, he was fourth of the Epsom’s Derby. Having been transferred over a mile this season, he seems a very progressive horse and should win at the top level this year.
