Emir chairs meeting of Economic Affairs Council

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, presiding over the council’s third meeting for 2015 at Al Bahr Palace on Wednesday.  HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani, who is the Vice-Chairperson of the council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, who is also Executive Member of the council, and members of the council. HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi, who is the Secretary general of the council, said the meeting discussed topics on the agenda and took the appropriate decisions. The council also examined the results of a study on investment companies that are partially funded by some government and semi-government bodies. The study featured a detailed statement on the status of these companies.
