QATAR | ResidenceNew ID cards to replace RP stickersNew state-of-the-art identity cards will soon replace the stickers presently used to issue or renew residence permits (RPs) of expatriates in Qatar, local Arabic dailies reported yesterday. Quoting sources in the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the dailies said the new ID cards would contain more information and would be accepted as proof of residence and visas at airports abroad when RP holders try to board flights to Qatar. The Interior Ministry will be announcing details of the new arrangement today.
