Lane closure in two phases on Temporary Truck road

There would be a temporary one lane closure for three weeks starting from today, on a nearly one-kilometre stretch on the Temporary Truck road (Route No 55), Ashghal has said.  The closures will be carried out in two phases. The Phase 1 will take place between today and June 13 and it involves the closure of the outer northbound lane and the inner southbound lane. The traffic during the period will be diverted on to the remaining open lane (as shown in map)  The Phase 2 will take place between June 13 and June 25 and it involves the closure of the inner northbound lane and the inner southbound lane. During the period the traffic will be diverted on to the remaining open lane (as shown in map).  The closure of the lanes is needed for the construction of the T-Junction, that will connect Route 55 to the road leading to the New Doha Port.
