Expats fined for keeping knives

A Doha Criminal Court has fined two expatriate men QR200 each for keeping sharp weapons without any valid reason, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported. The two defendants were arrested by the police after they attacked each other with knives. Both sustained injuries in the process, the report points out. The charges of attack were later dropped because they agreed to reconcile and relinquish any claims against each other.
