Safari Group extends helping hand to victims of deadly Nepal quake
In wake of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, the Safari Group of Companies has participated in the relief mission of the Nepal embassy by contributing QR25,000 to the Non-Resident Jhapali Alliance Forum through the Jhapa Sampark Manch for sending a team with relief material.For affected employees working in Safari Group, the management has decided to send relief funds to their kin for re-construction of damaged houses and medical treatment of loved ones. A sum of Nepali Rs3.5mn will be sent for around 100 of its affected employees’ families.The group has decided to support by donating NPR75,000 for employees who have lost their kith and kin, NPR50,000 for houses that have been destroyed and NPR25,000 for houses that are partially damaged. Some 2,000 employees of different nationalities work in Safari Group, of whom around 400 are from Nepal. “We are treating all our employees as our family members, their loss and suffering is treated as ours. We will make all possible efforts to get their life back to normal,” said Aboobacker Madappat, managing director of the company.
