‘Easing food prices to help Turkish inflation fall in H2’

Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek has said he expects favourable weather conditions and a high volume of produce to push down food prices, causing inflation to fall in the second half of 2015. Inflation may fall much more rapidly in 2016, Simsek told a conference in Istanbul, adding that his government should help the central bank in its fight against inflation by keeping fiscal policy tight.
