Nepalese devotees pull down an 80ft tall ceremonial pole called “Lingo” during celebrations of the Nepalese New Year or ‘Bisket Jatra’ in Bhaktapur, some 12km east of Kathmandu, yesterday. The festival which began April 10, is celebrated for nine days by the ethnic Newar community in Bhaktapur.
