Shamal down Khor for their first win this season

Shamal, under their new coach Dragan Cvetković have been showing signs of improvement but couldn’t get that elusive win. But yesterday they got an early goal through their main striker Dagano and then held on stubbornly, enduring a red card in the dying minutes of injury time, to claim a memorable win.In the other early match of the day, Al Arabi defeated Al Shahaniya 1-0 thanks to a 41st minute strike by Seyed Ashkan Mohamed. There were two late matches yesterday and the match between Al Ahli and Al Wakrah saw Alain Dioko score a great treble to inspire his team to a 3-2 win. This loss means that Wakrah were unable to take advantage of Shahaniya slipping up and remain in the relegation zone.Al Kharaitiyat produced a strong performance to defeat Al Sailiya 2-1 yesterday.
