Swedish firm working on recycling project

Swedish company United Science and Capital is preparing to make Qatar greener through recycling and energy efficient systems and technology, the Swedish embassy said in a statement yesterday.The Swedish firm’s chief executive officer Kujtim Hyseni and board member Margim Sinan, accompanied by Swedish ambassador Ewa Polano, has met with Qatar’s Energy and Industry Minister HE Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada and Qatar Electricity and Water Company general manager Fahad Hamad al-Mohannadi. Hyseni stated that he wants to change the microclimate of Qatar by bringing the technology together with 270 engineers from Swedish ?F Group, a leader in technical consulting. Research and development of the first phase, in Qatar, has a time line of 16 months. “We hope to have the agreements signed and done before Ramadan,” he said. The core focus of United Science & Capital’s business is to develop, combine and package breakthrough technologies within recycling, energy efficient systems and technology for treatment of contaminated soil and water. United Science and Capital is closely linked to the Swedish Science and Technology Park Innovatorn, co-operating with the renowned Swedish university Chalmers and its Centre for Innovation.
