Foundation stone laid for Qatar-Algerian steel project

QNA/AlgiersHE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal yesterday visited the Algerian province of Jijel, where the foundation stone was laid for the Algerian-Qatari steel project. The members of the official delegation accompanying the prime minister attended the ceremony.It was also attended by Jijel governor Ali Bedrici and a number of ministers and senior Algerian officials. The two leaders arrived earlier in Jijel where they were received at Ferhat Abbas Airport by Bedrici and senior officials of the province. On Sunday, the two prime ministers held official talks at the Algerian government headquarters. The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the prime minister. From the Algerian side, it was attended by a number of ministers. During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries and ways of developing them, especially in the economic and tourism fields, and discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. The two prime ministers witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding in touristic real estate investment between Qatari Diar and the National Agency for Tourism Development in Algeria.
