Qatar Charity (QC) has been awarded an international training licence for Autodesk programmes in architecture, architectural planning, mechanical engineering, decoration and design, media design, cartoons and animations.These specialised programmes enable trainees to gain internationally accredited certification in the field of software.QC’s Kosovo training office, which has received the INFINIT licence, held a special ceremony to mark the occasion. It was attended by a number of scientific and official figures, university professors, heads of departments in ministries, officials of engineering companies, designers, engineers and university students. The licence is a major achievement for QC, contributing to the dissemination of modern knowledge and the development of Kosovar society, particularly young people, according to a statement.Mahmoud Abbas Shaker, director of the QC Kosovo office, welcomed the guests and praised the recent achievements of QC in Kosovo, which he described as “fruitful and distinct”.“This success will enable students to use the American global Autodesk software, improving their careers and self-confidence and allowing them to complete their academic studies, as well as receive the highest Autodesk certificates and progress to achieving other professional certifications,” Shaker said.The ceremony included videos of the Qatar Training Centre in Kosovo, services provided to the trainees and the method and means of delivery. This was followed by a detailed presentation on Autodesk programmes, detailing their potential, benefits in various fields and the additional expertise for students. The first batch of graduation certificates was also distributed to students trained in the 3D MAX programme.A press conference was organised by the QC office, which had a significant media presence, and the developments were also publicised in a number of scientific publications and papers and on news and social networking sites.The news was celebrated by the general public, including beneficiaries of the programme and their families, the statement adds.Qatar Training Centre offers languages such as Arabic, English, German, Turkish and French, courses in computers, programming and design as well as various Microsoft programmes and administrative courses, all provided and supervised by experienced technical staff.QC has implemented 63 income-generating projects in Kosovo since the beginning of 2014, including agriculture, vocational and trade projects. The projects were implemented in co-ordination with the relevant ministries and municipalities, which welcomed the project and interacted extensively with QC throughout the implementation. QC sponsors more than 1,400 orphans in Kosovo, providing them with cash support in addition to health and leisure, sports and educational activities such as regular IT courses.QC has also launched the Together against Unemployment project, which is part of the organisation’s income-generating initiatives in support of young people in Kosovo. These covered agriculture, vocational and trade projects and benefited more than 1,000 people.
