Qatar was enveloped in a thick fog that lasted at least until 8.30am yesterday, slowing down traffic all over the country, due to very low visibility. This picture was taken from the Rayyan area around 6.30am. The intensity of the fog prompted the Interior Ministry to tweet at 8.06am, advising motorists “to pull completely off the road and try to park your vehicle in a safe area”. Qatar’s Meteorology Department has forecast poor visibility today also, early in the morning and late at night.
