Lekhwiya holds students’ gathering
The third Students’ Gathering organised by the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and sponsored by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, saw the participation of more than 1,000 students representing 39 high/preparatory schools across Doha and its surrounding areas. |
Brig Ali al-Rashid, Commander of Special Operations, and other commanders of Lekhwiya departments were present at the event, which took place on Thursday. Brig Dr Mohamed Abdulla al-Mahanna al-Marri, director of Police College, also attended the event along with a number of officers from the college.
The aim of the event was to further strengthen nationalism and love of the homeland and to give the students a glimpse of the work done by Lekhwiya .
The event consisted of training drills and some rescue scenarios, which were conducted by Lekhwiya personnel.
