Entrepreneurs' exhibition marked by mass participation ends

The National Day Exhibition of Qatari Hands, inaugurated by HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, has been attended by a large number of exhibitors and visitors.The four-day event, which concluded yesterday, was organised by Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre) and Katara – the Cultural Village in co-operation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs at Katara.More than 40 entrepreneurs participated in the exhibition, which was officially sponsored by QNB and aimed to provide the assistance that would help Qatari entrepreneurs in the product development and marketing process in keeping with the market’s needs, enhancing the competitive edge of Qatari institutions.“We are always delighted to partner with government institutions to support and encourage entrepreneurs and SMEs (small and medium enterprises) and help them take the right path towards success,” said Dr Khaled bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara.“Katara seeks to attract different types of events in the fields of thought and creativity, and hosting the National Day Exhibition of Qatari Hands reaffirms our steadfast belief in the important role of entrepreneurs and delivers the message that Katara’s gates are open to embrace all activities that contribute to supporting entrepreneurship,” he added.Saleh al-Khulaifi, board member of Bedaya Centre, said: “The exhibition embodies Bedaya Centre’s efforts to support entrepreneurs as it reinforces their abilities to adapt to society’s ever-changing needs and allows them to exchange knowledge and several other skills.“I would like to express our gratitude to Katara, represented by Dr Khalid al-Sulaiti, for partnering with us in organising this event and to the QNB team, which spares no efforts in nurturing talents, entrepreneurs and SMEs.”Hamad al-Jamali, acting assistant general manager SME at QNB Group, said QNB’s sponsorship of the exhibition originates in the bank’s support of Qatari SMEs for being one of the most important drivers of the national economy.
