Celebrity Bluff game show series celebrates second anniversary

Jose and Eugene — now teasingly called a love team as “JoGe”—are especially delighted over the public’s very enthusiastic response to their tandem, considering the “pairing” wasn’t even scripted for the game show.

At a meeting with the media recently, Eugene expressed how happy she is to be part of the show, and her comic love team.

“I  am very happy that the public has accepted the programme,” she enthused.

“I am also very lucky that though I am not very good looking, I’m becoming more attractive looking  in each new episode,” she added laughing. Later turning serious she noted how Celebrity Bluff has not only brought laughter to many Filipinos since 2012 but also served its purpose as an informative programme. “Even schools have recommended viewing the show,” she proudly related.

“My colleagues are very professional and we also have good writers. And everybody is co-operative and hardworking. Because we believe in the concept and we enjoy doing it.”For an artist who rarely watches her work, Eugene confessed to watching past episodes of Celebrity Bluff on YouTube, especially when she feels a little down.

“The hosting team is very funny and I find it interesting how I’m able to detach myself from the show and enjoy it as a viewer. That’s why, I look forward to doing it for many more years to come. I hope we would become the longest running game show, just like Eat Bulaga is the longest running noon time show and Bubble Gang is the longest running gag show.”

She concluded: “I would like to thank GMA for their support for an original Filipino game show like this and I look forward to many more seasons of this very enjoyable experience.”
