Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who turned 72 yesterday, feels there’s no gift greater than spending time with family.
The actor, who feels “luckiest today,” thanked all those who have been in his life through happiness but also in “loneliness.”
The veteran actor, currently seen as the host of TV game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, also expressed his love towards his friends, fans and family, on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com.
Bachchan celebrated the day by cutting a cake with journalists.
“It’s been a simple day. Today morning I went to (my home) Prateeksha and took my parents’ blessings. I still feel they are in Prateeksha with us. I generally take their blessings daily before I leave for work.
At his age, Bachchan is one of the busiest stars of Bollywood. He hosts Kaun Banega Crorepati, has a couple of films in his kitty and also involves himself with philanthropic causes.
Asked what keeps him so energetic and lively, he said: “I don’t know what’s the reason behind it...you will have to ask my parents. I think it’s genetic! I also feel blessed to receive my fans’ wishes and blessings.”
