Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan to retire tomorrow

Kris Gopalakrishnan, non-executive vice-chairman and the last of the serving co-founders of Infosys, will retire tomorrow, bringing down the curtains on a historic chapter at the IT major. Gopalakrishnan, along with six others including Murthy, founded Infosys in 1981 with a capital of $250 and shaped it into an $8bn company which is also India’s second-largest IT services company. After Nandan Nilekani resigned from the company in 2007, Gopalakrishnan was made CEO and MD.
