The origami activity is being held until tomorrow.

The Gate Mall is holding a special origami activity until October 6 in celebration of Eid al-Adha.

Guests can participate in the origami workshop, where they will master the art of folding paper into shapes that will then be used to decorate the mall’s tree sculptures.

Two professional artists have been flown in from the Origami Institute of Arts in Egypt to lecture both adults and children on the history and origin of origami. The artists will also show participants how to fold the papers into several shapes as well as educate them on their meaning.

Isabella Ibrahim, The Gate Mall’s Marketing and PR representative, said: “We are very pleased to offer this unique activity to guests during Eid. This celebrative holiday is an excellent time for people to come together in the spirit of art, craft and sharing.

“Origami making is not only fun, but is also a very special art that requires skill and attention. The Gate Mall always strives to come up with new activities to bring the community together, and this one really allows one to explore his/her creativity.”

Located at The Gate’s central court, the activity is being held from 11am to 9 pm for the public as well as pass buyers in the mall to enjoy Eid in an innovative and artistic way.
