Apparel brings latest trends to Qatar
The Apparel Group, an international fashion and retail conglomerate, organised an exclusive fashion show at Ezdan Mall which brought the group’s brands together showcasing the latest trends from this season’s collections.
The ‘Apparel Group Fashion Weekend’ show, held last Friday and Saturday at the mall’s atrium area, exhibited the Fall/Winter 2014 range from popular brands such as Aldo, Garage, Nine West, Aeropostale, Le Chateau, Skechers, La Vie En Rose, Inglot, New Yorker, Call it Spring, JFK, The Athlete’s Foot, The Children’s Place and Naturalizer.
Aldo’s new fall collection, marked by the tag ‘#perfectpair,’ introduces a new visual identity that redefines perfection. Models wearing ‘shoes with personality’ strutted down the catwalk emphasising the sheer depth of range.
The new Skechers collection featured lace-ups, Mary Janes, sandals and open back styles in a range of fun bright colours and materials for women. The men’s line included comfortable outsoles, Skechers memory foam insoles, quality leather uppers in a casual relaxed fit with toe box styles.
Skechers Kids showcased footwear for toddlers and little ones. The boy’s eye-catching selection featured S-Lights, Hot Lights, Super Hot Lights and Illuminators, Skechers’ latest in lighted footwear. In addition to Cali for girls and Bella Ballerina, Skechers’ Twinkle Toes, featured bejewelled toe caps and brightly designed uppers, especially for girls.
Garage’s new collection was inspired by the ’90s fashion. The star of this season is denim in fits like high waist, super soft jeggings and boyfriend jeans. Graphic tees, fresh fleece, and plaid shirts added just the right notes for the perfect ‘back-to-school’ look.
La Vie En Rose, the Canadian women’s lingerie and innerwear brand introduced its brand new capsule active collection, ‘Body Mind Soul.’
Polish cosmetic brand Inglot brought in this season’s stunning hues with make-up from their latest range. The Children’s Place showed off the some of the trendy, comfortable and stylish looks to put together for the little ones.
Le Chateau reinterprets designer looks into this seasons fall collection. A mix of fabrics and styles was what marked New Yorker’s autumn collection. The women’s collection brought in leather, rough knitwear, pencil skirts, skinnies, checked wool jackets and denim.
Footwear and accessories favourite, Nine West, put on a show with the reveal of their latest fall collection. From styles inspired by the Gatsbian era, to looks reminiscent of the adventurous 80’s and finally a more tailored and bespoke look offering finishes such as twill weaves and plaid in soft camel and powder blue tones.
Aéropostale, the American specialty retailer of casual apparel, presented the latest in their autumn collection for men and women. The school prep and varsity sport mixes were a fun and preppy introduction to the collection. The range also featured looks inspired by 90’s grunge, layered, soft and relaxed.
Footwear and accessories brand Call it Spring showcased their fall 2014 collection, inspired by the return of grunge classics and fun wardrobe staples for both men and women.
JFK’s Autumn/Winter ’14 collection brought to life many children’s beloved characters with favourites such as Superman, Batman, Scooby Doo and many more.
The Athlete’s Foot displayed some of their renowned brands such as TOMS whose iconic, comfortable, everyday espadrilles are wardrobe staples. Palladium’s rugged boots, Superfit’s specialised children’s range and MBT’s unique wellness footwear were also key pieces at the show.
Naturalizer showcased neutral tones, soft pale colours with feminine details, followed by a more structured tailored charm.
