The inspection campaigns at outlets continue throughout the year and intensify ahead of the start of new school term.
iPhone 5 recall campaign: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce is getting ready for a recall campaign announced by Apple Inc for iPhone 5 handsets sold between September 2012 and June 2013, in co-operation with authorised resellers in the country.
The recall is due to a factory defect in the battery, causing speedy discharge. Those who bought iPhone 5 handsets during the period in question can log on to Apple website and enter the serial number of the product to know whether the phone they purchased is included in the campaign or not. If it is, customers would be entitled to get the defective battery replaced free of charge.
