Jockey Andrea Atzeni rides Cappella Sanseveru to victory in the Group III Tower Stakes, at the Curragh in Ireland on Sunday. A Listed winner, second to The Wow Signal in the Coventry Stakes (Gr2) and third in the Phoenix Stakes (Gr1), Qatar Racing Limited’s Cappella Sansevero lined up as a serious contender in the Tower Stakes. The Ger Lyons representative, ridden by Qatar Racing Limited new jockey Andrea Atzeni, was the courageous winner. He should now return to Group 1 level and could be aimed for the Middle Park Stakes. His trainer Ger Lyons said: “I told the rider to drop him in and produce him late. When he hits the front, he has done enough. We have a fresh perspective on him now with Andrea, who thinks he’s a lovely horse and says he rides like a three-year-old. It’s all systems go for the Middle Park now.”
