Yawanawa Indians dance during the Mariri Festival in the village of Mutum, in the Amazon forest of Acre state. The Yawanawa people, who live on a reservation in northwestern Brazil that was demarcated in 1933, spend five days each August celebrating their way of life through dance, art, and cultural expression.
