Ooredoo has announced smartphone application Uber as the newest international partner to join the Nojoom network that has more than 150 partners.
The application, which can be downloaded for free directly from www.uber.com/app, is available for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry 7.
Nojoom members can now earn and redeem Nojoom Points with Uber rides in over 140 cities across 40 countries.
For every $1 spent on an Uber service, Red members will earn one Nojoom Point, Silver members will earn 1.5 Nojoom Points while Gold members will earn two Nojoom Points.
With a special offer marking the launch of the partnership, Nojoom members can earn double points until October 24.
Ahmed Ali al-Mohannadi, director of Customer Experience and Segmentation at Ooredoo, said: “The Uber app is already quite popular with a large segment of our customers and through the Nojoom Programme we are happy to bring them rewards that truly matter.”
Zeid Hreish, operations manager for Uber, Doha, said: “Our partnership with Ooredoo stems from a common interest in providing customers with seamless connectivity. As we expand our services globally, we are happy to offer Ooredoo customers easy accessibility to cities they visit with the added bonus of reward points through the Nojoom Programme.”
To earn Nojoom Points, customers must provide their mobile number along with any feedback once the option to provide a rating on their experience becomes available at the end of every Uber trip. The Uber app must remain open in order for the pop-up to appear. Points will be automatically added to the member’s account in the following month.
Points can also be redeemed for Uber credit via any of the current Nojoom redemption channels, including the website www.ooredoo.qa/en/nojoom, or by downloading the Ooredoo App. Once the redemption has been completed, members should take the voucher code and add it to the Promotion screen section of their Uber app.
To check whether the code has been accepted, members need to go to the Payment screen and verify the amount as credit listed under the Credit Balances section. All credit will appear in Qatari riyals.
Every Ooredoo customer with a Qatar ID can enrol into Nojoom, which enables members to earn Nojoom Points each time they use an Ooredoo service or shop at Nojoom’s earn partners. Points can be redeemed at over 150 local and international Nojoom partners.
