Assistant FM hosts farewell ceremony for US envoy

HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi yesterday held a farewell ceremony in honour of the outgoing US Ambassador to Qatar Susan Laila Ziadeh.

The ceremony, which was held at the Diplomatic Institute, was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and offices accredited to Doha and a number of directors at the Foreign Ministry.  

 Separately,  HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Major-General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah met the outgoing US ambassador yesterday.

They reviewed bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.

HE the Chief of Staff Air Vice-Marshall Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim also met Ambassador Susan Laila Ziadeh yesterday. The meeting reviewed relations between the US and Qatar.
