Emirates to fly seven times daily to Doha from Dec 1
Doha is to become Emirates’ best served destination with seven daily flights to and from Dubai from December 1. |
Doha will take the top spot when it goes from six to seven daily flights, overtaking Bangkok’s six daily services.
The extra flights into Doha are part of a 28-flight boost to the airline’s Middle East services, the Dubai-based airline said in a statement.
The details of the extra daily Emirates flights to and from Doha are as follows: EK 881 departing Dubai at 7.20pm and arriving in Doha at 7.30pm (all local time) and EK882 departing Doha at 9.25pm and arriving in Dubai at 11.30pm.
Muscat will go from two to three flights a day, Bahrain from three to four daily services and Kuwait will increase from five to six flights daily.
With the changes in place as of December 1, Emirates will offer some 276 weekly flights to destinations across the Middle East out of its industry-leading hub at Dubai International.
“This is a significant enhancement of our services in the region, giving our customers more choice and convenience,” said Khalid al-Serkal, Emirates’ manager in Qatar.
“With seven flights a day going into Doha, nowhere else on the Emirates’ network will offer as many daily flights. This overtakes Bangkok and is ahead of Singapore and London Heathrow,” al-Serkal said.
“The extra frequencies will provide even more scope for customers to enjoy our award winning services, such as the ice in-flight entertainment system loaded with up to 1,800 channels of movies, TV programmes, games and music, which can all be enjoyed while savouring gourmet chef prepared cuisine,” al-Serkal added.
