Ooredoo has announced major upgrades for its Ring Back Tone (RBT) service, with new additions to its MyTones collection, including the official song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

After valuable customer feedback, Ooredoo has simplified the subscription method for Ring Back Tones by providing the service completely via SMS, optimising the user experience.

With the improved subscription methods, customers now have to simply choose a Ring Back Tone by calling 191 or using the USSD menu by dialling *191#, and SMS the Tones code to 191. Every new Ring Back Tone costs QR5 per month and is automatically renewed.

Waleed al-Sayed, chief operating officer at Ooredoo, said: “We’re thrilled to expand our entertainment portfolio and give our customers the content they want, whether that’s through Mozaic TV, the Mozaic GO app or Ring Back Tones. By providing the official song for the World Cup, we hope to excite people every time their phones ring for the upcoming International football season.”

The official FIFA 2014 World Cup song, ‘We Are One (Ole Ola)’, by popular artist Pitbull featuring pop superstar Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte, is now available on Ooredoo’s Ring Back Tones service under the code ‘2014’.

Customers can also quickly and easily copy other callers’ ringtones by dialling the star key (*) during the ring tone.

More than 50,000 MyTones are currently available for customers, including a wide variety of music from Islamic, Arabic, English, Filipino, Farsi and Bollywood catalogues.
