Al Ahli Hospital gets HACCP certification
Al Ahli Hospital has recently been certified with Hazard Analysis and Identify Critical Points (HACCP). Jose Alex, director of Qatar Services Food Co., Ltd. handed over the HACCP certification to Jamal Hammad, deputy CEO of Al Ahli Hospital.
HACCP is a preventive food safety system by identifying hazards that threaten the food safety, whether biological, physical or chemical, and then determines the CCPS critical points that need to be controlled to ensure product safety. HACCP ensures effectiveness in the production of safe food.
The process for the certification began at Al Ahli hospital in January 2012. An award ceremony took place last month after the completion of the process. Ammar Annatsha, chief operative officer and Dominique Richard, catering manager honoured all the team members involved in the HACCP process.
Tina Salem, food safety officer stressed Al Ahli hospital’s commitment to the highest level of quality, health and safety of food products to the guests and the employees at all times.
