Environment Ministry dept takes part in school activities
The Awareness and Environmental Education Department at the Ministry of Environment (MoE) has taken part in a number of school activities and events around the country. |
Among these was an exhibition on sustainable health, which was visited by around 120 people at a local independent school.
The department distributed gifts and instructive brochures, along with saplings, among visitors during the exhibition.
The department also participated in an environment fair at Umm Hani Primary Independent School. A number of environment-related activities were held as part of the fair, including short plays, painting and drawing workshops and an arts exhibition featuring works by students.
Some members of the Central Municipal Council attended the activities alongside MoE officials, educators and students.
The department was actively involved in the “Health and Life” fair at Al Aqsa Preparatory Independent School as well, which also saw the participation of different health entities.
School students were given various health-related lectures by well-known health professionals in the country.
The MoE is eager to use such popular occasions to spread awareness on relevant issues and reach out to a wider segment of the society.
